Principal's Message

Term 3 Week 8

Book Week goes Virtual

Well done MPRPS&K community you made another Book Week happen while we are in Lockdown and Remote Learning. I had the honour of viewing the virtual parade and seeing all students dressed up in their classes. There are special mentions from every class in last weeks Assembly.

Senior School Production

Mrs Andrews has been working through lots of different scenarios to make sure our students get to perform the Lion King Jnr. At this stage we have moved and booked Karralyke for the Monday and Tuesday the 18th and 19th of October in Term 4. Our aim is to professionally live stream and also record the performance regardless of audience numbers. This does mean we have to be able to have excursions an attend an external venue. In the past when restriction have eased this has been possible, for single school visits.

If we are unable to facilitate this we will use the school hall and live stream and record.

Assembly

Well done to everyone for dressing up on our Virtual Book Week parade.

Uniform Shop

Thank you to Dayna and Monica who have worked with Sue and myself to further improve the provision of our uniform shop. We have worked with PSW who will now take over the uniform shop. They are located in Mount Waverley and will open on the 28th of September.  During the transition to PSW parents will be unable to purchase uniform, although they are facilitating a quicker turn around than normal so that parents can purchase from the beginning of Term 4. We hope this doesn't cause any inconvenience for parents. Moving to PSW has a number of advantages:

  • open every day including Saturdays and over the holidays
  • personal appointments (change rooms available)
  • stock will always be available
  • payment can be made in a number of ways including after pay
  • a number of ways to collect including click and collect

More details will be made available shortly.

Senior Maths Information Night

Please join us at 6pm on Thursday September 9th for our Senior Maths information evening. Teachers from the Independence and Leadership Centres will present and families will have the opportunity to ask questions about our program and how to support children at home. We look forward to seeing you there!
