Prep

The Preps have hit the ground running this term. We are becoming confident and engaged readers, writers and mathematicians. We are also getting very close to our 100 days of Prep and we have been busy preparing for our celebrations on Monday. We can’t wait to celebrate our milestone with fun games and activities.

Writing: 

In writing, we are becoming authors and making our very own books. We have been taking risks in our illustrations and sentence writing and we are very proud of our books. Leila wrote a funny story about a Halloween party and Sebastian created a very informative book all about cargo ships. 

Maths: 

This week in Mathematics we have learnt all about money through our purposeful play. We have loved being thinkers whilst playing in our classroom shop and identifying the place value of money. In preparation for our 100 days of school, we have been learning all about the number 100 through counting, singing, making, writing and playing. 

UOI: 

During our unit of inquiry we have been learning all about our imagination. We have been reflective learners and came up with a number of questions such as, What is imagination? When do we use our imagination? We are looking forward to getting into our investigations and discovering where our imaginations will take us.
