From the School Captains

The following is a recent email to Senior School staff received from the School Captains:

Dear Senior Teachers and Staff of Girton,

On behalf of all Senior Students at Girton, we want to thank you all so much for your adaptability, kindness, and hard work you've all put in during online learning this year. The on and off nature of it all is such a huge challenge to navigate, and we sincerely thank you for everything you have done for the students.

This is probably the most challenging period of teaching you have ever been through, and you have all done it with such grace. We couldn't be more grateful.

In particular, from the Year 12 cohort to the VCE teachers, you have been the MVPs. Your continued support and consideration for us has been unmatched. Both Nina and myself, as well as all the Year 12 students, are indebted to you.

To all the House Tutors, thank you for your ongoing support each morning. Your enthusiasm and encouragement for everything we do is everything that makes Girton a cheerful and good environment to learn.

Let's hope this is the last lockdown, but as we know how things go, it probably won't be. But we know our teachers will be well prepared, as you have always been, and on our side the entire way through it.
