Careers and Senior Pathways

Dear Students and Killester College Community,

Year 12

I am very pleased that individual VTAC interviews for 2022 Pathways have commenced. Thank you to all Year 12 students who have signed up for an interview. Those who are yet to negotiate a time are encouraged to do so ASAP by visiting the link which was shared via email during the winter school holidays on July 11 or by contacting me. 

VTAC officially opened on Monday August 2, for 2022 Tertiary Applications. All Year 12 students may now create a VTAC account and begin to load preferences for courses they wish to apply for in 2022. They may also apply for SEAS and Scholarships with the deadline for this being 5pm, October 8. 

If you need assistance to create an account, below is a web link which will step you through how to create an account. This video also has important information about SEAS and Scholarships. I encourage all students and families to watch it.

VTAC also provides students access to a demonstration account where they can practice how to set an account up and learn how to add preferences.

Please see the list of courses which will close early for application on September 30. If students are interested in applying for any of these, they must have them on their preference list by the September 30 deadline or they will miss out.

Also attached is a list of Early Entry Programs. These are a great opportunity for students wishing to receive conditional entry into a course of their choice, prior to receiving their ATAR. Many institutions offer these and I encourage students to investigate these opportunities.

Years 10 and 11

Thank you to all students who submitted their Subject Selection for 2022. All students will have received their selection to cross check this week during Homeroom. Students are encouraged to visit the Senior Pathways office if they have any questions.
