Learning and Teaching

Year 4

This term, the Year Four students have been investigating about Ancient Egypt. What started as an amazing excursion to IMAX at Melbourne Museum has evolved across all subject areas. Below are some pictures of Acrostic Poems written in 4G

4C, using Hieroglyphic, created their names and some of their favourite words in class. Can you guess what they are?

Our STEM walls are full of amazing work and information created by the students. Enjoy!

November Art

In the coming weeks, all students will be creating a Christmas placemat to be donated for a community Christmas Day lunch at Malvern Town Hall.  Thank you to Mrs Orr and Nikki Saville (Running Group Teacher) for organising the placemats and lunch.

Seeds and Sprouts

We are just over the halfway point of our Seeds and Sprouts Program. We have 28 three year old attending our Seeds program over two sessions and 32 four year olds attending our Sprouts program over two sessions.

The children have settled into the school like environment well, making friends and beginning to learn basic routines.

The program was designed to prepare and support children in our local community to positively and confidently transition into a school environment. The holistic program aims to develop the communication, independence and social skills children need prior to starting school, helping to build a solid foundation for later learning. It also offers early numeracy and literacy experiences to engage the children and spark a passion for learning.

I am really proud of the progress each one of our Seeds and Sprouts is making and I look forward to working with them for the remainder of the program.
