Faith and Wellbeing Assistant Principal's Report

Finals Season
The next few weeks are the business end of the AFL season. As we come to the end of the Term, it is a time for the students to continue to the end and to finish the season as strongly as they can. The AFL season will reward the team that finishes strongest in September. This month is also an important one for our students to work to the end of the Term.
Year 8 Assembly
On Tuesday 4 September 2018, the Year 8 level gathered together to unite and celebrate this important year in the secondary journey. It was a blessing to hear students share some of the highlights of the year and to see some of the students share their musical gifts. Thanks to all those students who were able to get involved and to the whole level for the positive way in which you conducted yourselves.
Nazareth Mass
Last week we celebrated our Mass for Nazareth Day, giving thanks to God for all of the blessings we have received as a school and as individuals within it. We also asked the Holy Spirit to come upon us as a community and guide and shape us in the time ahead. We give a special thanks to Fr John Sherman OMI who continues to be a great friend of and a most generous supporter of Nazareth College.
Nazareth Assembly
On Tuesday 11 September 2018 the College will continue its Nazareth celebrations with our Nazareth Assembly at 9:00am. At this Assembly we will acknowledge some of the efforts and achievements of our students and award the prestigious Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge Awards. Parents and family members are most welcome to attend.
Year 10 Social
On Friday night the Wheeler Auditorium was transformed by the Monash Champion students into an incredible and stylish venue for a night of ‘Walking With The Stars’ for the Year 10 Social. This Social was planned and prepared by the Monash Champion group who did an amazing job in their vision, work and preparation. The staff were amazed and touched by the efforts and work of the students. A big congratulations to all the Monash Champion students who proposed this event to the College Leadership and after all their great work, saw it come to fruition.
Year 11 Youth Ministry
On Friday 7 September 2018, the Year 11 Youth Ministry Class will be attending the Grade 5 and 6 Reflection Day at St Elizabeth’s Primary School and facilitating some of the sessions for these students. It should be a great day and is a fantastic opportunity for our students to minister to the younger students.
