Tamworth Conservatorium of Music Singing Workshop

On Tuesday 10 September, Ashlee Woodgate, a singing teacher at the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music, visited our College and worked with the vocal students in the elective music classes. Ashlee is a trained Opera singer, and led a workshop on how to use a microphone correctly during performing. This is a valuable skill for performers, and all the students who attended were provided with many tips to improve their performances.

Final Week for Year 12

This week we held last rehearsals and performances with our current Year 12 band members. We thank these students very much for the enormous contribution they have made to Music at McCarthy. With the departure of Year 12 band members, we have appointed new band captains and vice captains. The Captains for 2020 are Michelle Coates and Nick Hannan, and the Vice Captains are John Wong and Riley Frankel. Congratulations to these students and we look forward to working with you.  Congratulations also to all Year 12 Music students who completed the Practical Component of their HSC this week. They have worked hard preparing their pieces and performed these well over the three days of their exams.
