Pathways and Transition

Training Direct – Aegis Montgomery House

John XXIII College students are completing a workplace training at Aegis aged care facility at Montgomery House and on completion will receive a nationally recognised Certificate III Health Services Assistance qualification through Registered Training Organisation Tubal.

Students are able to earn while they learn with this school-based traineeship, giving them valuable paid experience in the workplace, as well as an opportunity on completion to transition into nursing studies diploma, or to use their qualification to work in a hospital as a Nursing Assistant.

Construction Futures Centre

This week a group of Year 12 students visited the Construction Futures Centre in Belmont to gain an insight into the opportunities available in the Building and Construction industry. The interactive exhibition enabled students to explore the full range of job roles and career options available, from the traditional trades to paraprofessional roles.
