INTERHOUSE SPORT

Interhouse Sport will be on hold during Weeks 7 and 8 for Years 11 and 12 exams but will return in Week 9 for our final Interhouse Sport event for Term 2. We are excited to announce that this will be called "Rainbow Round". Students will have the opportunity to play with students from all other Houses in a round where we promote inclusiveness, enjoyment and celebrate the end of a most unusual term.

It has been fantastic to see so many students in attendance this term, supporting their House and being active. We look forward to finishing Term 2 in style with "Rainbow Round'! There will be music, modified game formats and exciting new rules for each sport. For those who would like to be involved, please come to the Indoor Sports Centre on Thursday, 25 June and have some fun!

Here is a list of our Week 9 sports:

  • Year 7/8 Girls Netball
  • Year 7/8 Boys Mod Cross
  • Year 9/10 Girls Volleyball
  • Year 9/10 Boys Soccer

THE RUNNING CLUB

The Running Club has seen great attendance since returning for Term 2, despite many cold mornings. We are also excited to announce that our parents of Running Club will now be able to return to training, as recent restrictions have been eased. Parents will be able to attend The Running Club sessions on Wednesday and Friday mornings with Coach Alex at the same session as students. However, parents will be required to train as a group, separately from the Junior School and Senior School students.

Junior School students will continue to train on Wednesdays only, with Senior School having the option to also train on Friday mornings, beginning at 7.00am sharp. Please meet at the ISC, sign in to RollCall and join us for a run with Coach Alex! (Breakfast is served afterwards for Senior School students).

We are excited to once more have our parents involved in The Running Club and ask that you respect these current distancing rules and refrain from training if you are unwell or exhibiting signs or symptoms of a cold or flu.

ACC 'EXCEED' RUN CLUB

The Associated and Catholic Colleges of WA (ACC) have created a running club where you can complete set courses around the Perth area and compete against students from other ACC schools. It is run through a fitness app called STRAVA which some students may already be using to record their runs, rides or other physical activity. They also offer different challenges, such as fastest 1km, most kilometres per week and longest single run. Leaders for courses and challenges will be recognised by the ACC and their details will be published on the ACC website each week. It is a great way to get active, improve your running and represent All Saints’ College.

If you are interested in participating and challenging yourself, your friends or students from other schools, please visit the Interschool Sport tab on MyASC. This is open to all students, of all fitness levels and running abilities—let’s see how many All Saints’ students we can have running and representing the College!

BADMINTON TRAINING

Badminton training recommenced in Week 4, with training taking place again for Senior School students on Tuesday afternoons 3.30pm–4.30pm in the ISC. Our first session back saw a great turnout, with students from Years 7–12 honing their Badminton skills with the help of Coach Andrew Chai. Details and sign up can be found on Roll Call under the Cocurricular tab on MyASC.

NETSETGO SKILLS PROGRAM - TERM 3

NetSetGo is an introductory netball program that teaches students aged 5 – 10 the basic skills of netball through skill-based activities, games and modified match practice.

It is a great program to help your child develop their hand-eye coordination with passing, catching and shooting activities.

The program will run at All Saints’ College from 3.30pm – 4.20pm on Thursday after school in the Indoor Sports Centre.

The program commences on 30 July (session 1) and ends on 17 September (session 8) in Term 3.

All Saints’ College will host the eight-week program for the following year groups:

  • Students in Year 1 (born after July 2013) and Year 2 (Maximum capacity – 20 students)
  • Students in Year 3 and Year 4 (Maximum capacity – 20 students)

Please note that there is limited space, so Expressions of Interests will be prioritised on a first come, first serve basis.

If this sounds like something your son or daughter might be interested in, please register your Expression of Interest by emailing Sport Administrator Mr Mike Pinker on mike.pinker@allsaints.wa.edu.au by Thursday, 18 June and further details will be provided.
