Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

We have only two weeks left of term one and still have parent teacher conferences to be completed, along with the Easter Bonnet parade, the Easter hunt and junior sport carnival. It looks like it will be a busy two weeks.

First Communion

Thank you to Father Andrew, Mrs Douglas, Mrs Passante, Mrs Mahon, Mrs Darby for the preparation and beautiful mass that was celebrated last weekend when the first two classes of Year 5's received their first Communion. Thank you to the staff who attended to support and celebrate with the Year 5 students.  This weekend 5BE and 5MO will be celebrating their First Communion. Please keep these students in your prayers.

Swim Team

Congratulations to our swim team who competed in the Chelsea Division swimming competition. They all did extremely well and enjoyed the day. Thank you to the parents for driving their child and staying to encourage and support them.

School Production

I am thrilled to announce that we will be performing Aladdin this year. The productions will be over four nights. Each grade will perform one night. The production will be held at Kilbreda College in Mentone and will be from Monday 24 - Thursday 27 October.

I am calling for volunteers to help in all areas:

costumes

marketing

ticket sales

backdrops and props

singing training

miscellaneous tasks.

If you are interested and have some time please send me an email indicating in which area you can help.

Cross Country Training

Our cross country has been so well attended and it has been great to see so many students out running/walking the course and getting some exercise before school. Training is every Tuesday morning and we meet out the front of the hall at 7.50 am. All students from Grade 3-6 are welcome.

Harmony Day

Thank you to Mrs Traynor for organising the Fire Carrier ceremony and induction of our 2022 Fire Carriers. Congratulations to Jagger Davies, Chloe Galante and SiennaPearson on being this year's Fire Carriers.

Thank you to the parents who helped with the sausage sizzle on Monday for Harmony Day. It is great to welcome parents back to our school.

Thank you to Lisa Goodes for coordinating the sausage sizzle, we couldn't do it without her.

Lightning Premiership

Congratulations to our Year 6 students who participated in the Chelsea District's lightning Premiership today. They all seemed to have had a great time.

Enjoy your last weekend of daylight savings.

Principal.
