Our Project Compassion fundraising drive is underway. Each student is encouraged to contribute a Fair Trade chocolate item for the hampers that will be raffled or a donation towards purchasing tickets. Aldi stock Fair Trade Easter Eggs and chocolate. Raffle tickets will go on sale from 28 March so please dig deep to help.

In the last two weeks of terms, Hot Cross Buns will be on sale to further contribute to Caritas.

Caritas is hard at work in places like the Ukraine and Tonga and is in high demand for their support. Watch a clip HERE about their work and learn about 'Biru’s' story.

Building Bridges

On the first night of 'Building Bridges' for 2022, a group of Year 11 students went to The King David School to learn and understand how Judaism is implemented into their school life.

The evening began with a presentation on  Jewish history, sharing what they celebrate and their cultural beliefs and customs. After the presentation, we then toured the school, which was led by their students. There we learnt about the history of the school itself, the significance of the Torah and were also taught how to write our names in Hebrew.

Everyone, from all of the different schools, sat down and shared a meal together. It was a great opportunity to have a chat and learn something new. Following that, we all went into break out groups. In these small groups we learnt about one another and everyone’s religious and/or cultural backgrounds.

It was a great night and a privilege to be able to go out and learn about another school community and how it differs from our own. We are all looking forward to the next Building Bridges night.
