Student Leadership

Many of the student leaders across year 7-12, including myself, had the opportunity to attend a youth leadership conference on the 1st of March. We were given the chance to not only reflect on the role of leaders, but also to ask questions and converse with various presenters who shared their leadership stories. The speakers also touched on some challenges they faced which helped them in creating change and taking charge. Each speaker elaborated on a different theme, collectively they all constituted the foundational basics of a proactive and true leader. Something that was said that really resonated with me was that “connection is why we are here, it brings meaning and purpose to our lives”. The leadership team is striving to put all that we have learnt from the conference into action and will continue to collaborate and learn from one another in our efforts to do so.

Interviews lead by the College captains and SRC presidents were also held for some domain positions and SRC leaders. Congratulations to all those applied and those who received a leadership position. We can’t wait to work with you all to run future events and activities for the college community.
