Physical Education
It has been a very busy 2 weeks at Kingswood in Sport and Physical Education. Students in Year 5 & 6 had their Open Water Learning Experience at Mordialloc Beach which was run by the Mordialloc Life Saving Club. Students had a great time learning about the day-to-day operations at a lifesaving club, what to do when you find yourself in a rip, as well as open water safety. Students then got to have fun on the beach and in the water completing activities that had students paddling on boards, swimming relays, beach flags, as well as water rescue.
On Wednesday the 2nd of March, Kingswood’s district swimming team represented the school at Noble Park Aquatic Centre. All swimmers did Kingswood proud and showed great sportsmanship and encouragement to other schools as well as to other students. We had some great results with some very close finishes! I would like to congratulate everyone who was a part of Kingswood Swimming Team and would like to shine light on Ayaan who came first in the under 12/13 Boys Freestyle & Butterfly. He will be competing at Division on the 21st of March and I wish him the best of luck!
