Springers in Action

Cranbourne Botanical Gardens

Our wonderful Preps set out on their very first excursion on Wednesday 7th of June to the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens!  Despite the rain and wind, we had a great day exploring the gardens and learning about the ways of our native Indigenous peoples.  The Preps had the opportunity to drink some lemon myrtle tea, eat a sour finger lime, paint using ochre, and hold some traditional aboriginal tools.  Other highlights, as identified by the students, were the ‘cool’ lookout, the ‘epic’ playground, and the ‘fun’ bus trip!  The Preps represented Pakenham Springs so beautifully, showing our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience all day (especially with the weather and allllll the walking!)!  The Prep teachers are very proud!  Also, a special thank you to our amazing parent helpers - you make these special days run so much smoother!
