Around the School

This term we welcome Miss Alicia Salas and Miss Moira Watts to our school from The University of Notre Dame in Sydney. Miss Salas and Miss Watts will be completing their final ten week practicum in Kindergarten and Stage 2 respectively under the guidance of Miss George and Mrs Lockwood.

Please read a message from Miss Salas and Miss Watts introducing themselves to our school community.  

Hello to all the families of St Joseph’s,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the student-teacher accompanying Kindergarten during Term 3. My name is Miss Salas and through the University of Notre Dame, I am completing my final placement at St Joseph's. 

I have travelled from Sydney to Tamworth to complete this placement and I am very excited to get to know this regional town. I have thoroughly enjoyed being greeted by so many of the lovely students already in Week 1. I look forward to meeting parents and carers during my time here at St Joseph's. It’s been a blast getting to know and learning about the wonderful students in Kindergarten and I’m sure we will have an amazing term.

Some fun facts about me:

I love football and I am a very proud supporter of the Penrith Panthers.

My favourite food is any type of pasta.

Hello families of the beautiful St Joseph’s children,  

I wanted to use this as a chance to introduce myself. My name is Miss Watts and I am a student teacher who will be completing my final placement in Stage 2 this term at St Joseph's. 

I have travelled up from Sydney to Tamworth and have been welcomed by the beautiful scenery and a very welcoming school community.  After this first week I have learnt so many great things about your children and I am eager to continue learning more and more during my time here at St Joseph's.

• I am a dog mum to a 3-year-old golden retriever  
• My favourite food is chocolate!
