Vinnie’s Winter Appeal

“The society of St Vincent de Paul is an international voluntary organisation in the Catholic Church, founded in 1833 for the sanctification of its members by personal service of the poor… the Vinnie’s winter appeal aims to provide emergency relief to people at risk and experiencing homelessness,” (wikipedia.org).

As Catholic people we aim to follow in the footsteps of such saints as ‘St. Vincent De Paul’ who was canonised by the catholic church for preaching missions to the peasantry and for running charitable events to assist the poor.  This year, over a 4-week period, we ask for your assistance in the collection of various items that will be donated to assist the homeless and those less fortunate than we are. Each grade level from foundation to grade 6 will be asked to donate from a list of required items, which the P&F team (led by Josie Perri) will sort and organise for delivery to the St. Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal. Uniform Stall

Adriana B and Gabby S are leading the P&F uniform stall, set for Friday 16th June. As usual the stall will run from 3pm and we invite you to come and purchase good quality preloved school uniforms at affordable prices. Don’t forget to bring a carry bag and money. Thank you to all the families who continue to donate their children’s uniforms. Please everyone, keep the donations coming. We simply ask that the uniforms you provide us with are good quality, have the school emblem, and are free from stains, tears, rips, etc. Also, no SOCKS or JOCKS. Many thanks for your support.

Children’s Toy Stall

The P&F has a variety of children’s toys and books that are left over donations from the St. Fidelis Community Day. We are selling these in the under-croft area in Saunders Street yard on Friday 16th June from 3pm. Each item will be sold for a GOLD COIN DONATION. Please bring a bag and gold coins to make your purchases. Thank you.

P&F Morning Tea 

On the first Friday of every month, the P&F will be hosting a FREE morning tea straight after assembly, in the school staffroom. We invite all parents/carers to attend and have a cuppa and light refreshments with us.  The next morning tea will be next term on Friday 14th July. We encourage you to attend as we would love to keep building on the wonderful school community that we already have.  The morning tea will run until approximately 10:30am or thereabouts. See you there 😊 AND thank you to all the parents who took time out of their morning to attend the first P&F morning tea, it was a great turnout and catching up with everyone is always a joy.

Lunch Order Day

Please see flyer for all your need to know information regarding the upcoming Lunch Order Day on Friday 21st July. Thank you. Important note from the principal, deputy principal and the P&F: Parents, please note that Food Days are a P&F fundraising activity. The P&F works hard to ensure you are given enough notice to organize an order for your children, and also provides ample contact details and information for you to provide feedback. If you do not want your children to participate in the food days, or you miss the cut-off date to order, please DO NOT bring fast food or other special foods to the school for their lunch. You are welcome to pack a special lunch for your children to take in their lunch box in lieu of getting a Food Day lunch order.
