Week 8 Term 2

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, we see our Year 5/6 students and teachers leave for Lancefield for a 3 day camp. Each year, it is my privilege to attend camp and spend time getting to know the children in a different setting. It is wonderful to chat with them, find out a little more about their interests, hobbies, and families.

A big thanks to all the teachers who give up their personal time to attend and to Michael Jennings who has spent hours organizing for this camp to ensure it is the best and safest experience for our students.

I trust that all families will encourage their children to thank their teachers for giving up their time away from their families in order for them to have this amazing experience and opportunity.

Undortunately due to signal problems, we only have a couple of pics from camp to share at the moment.

First Eucharist Year 4

This Sunday, the Year 4 students will receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion at 11:00am Sunday Mass. I ask that we keep these students and their families in our prayers this week as they prepare for a very special day.

Cultural Diversity Day

What a wonderful way to celebrate diversity in our community. A huge thank you to all the families who participated and ensured all the students were prepared for Cultural Diversity Day. The performers were exceptional and we all learnt a little more about African Culture, our Indigenous Culture and Italian culture. A special thank you to Vira for preparing this experience for our students.

Increased Illnesses and COVID-19 cases

This reminder to all parents and carers to remain vigilant with keeping their children home if they are experiencing any flu like symptoms. We also ask you to test for COVID -19 and keep the children home if they test positive. This will assist with not spreading the virus through the school community. The teachers have been asked to remind the children to exercise safe hygiene, regular hand washing and sanitising.
