Miss Mel's Message

Principal - St Brigid's Primary School

Term 2, Week 8

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

As we approach the end of another successful term, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many positive changes and remarkable achievements we have witnessed at St B’s. It has been a term filled with incredible learning experiences, exciting projects, and invaluable opportunities for growth.

At our school, we pride ourselves on being a "small school with a big heart." This term, our motto has truly come to life as we have witnessed the power of a close-knit community that cares deeply for one another. Our small size allows us to foster strong relationships, ensuring that every student feels valued and supported in their educational journey. Our big heart, on the other hand, represents the love and compassion we extend to all members of our school family.

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to our dedicated staff members whose tireless efforts have created an enriching environment for our students. Their commitment to our motto is evident in the way they go above and beyond to nurture the potential of each child. Through their unwavering dedication and passion, they have helped create a school community where every individual is seen, heard, and loved.

One of the highlights of this term has been the commencement of our much-anticipated building project. The construction work is well underway, and we are all excited about the future possibilities it will bring. This project is a testament to our big heart, as it represents our commitment to providing a safe and modern learning space for our students, ensuring they have the best possible opportunities for growth and success.

In addition to the physical changes, our school community has witnessed numerous successful meetings that have led to personal transformations. Whether it be Parents and Friends (P&F), the Advisory Council, the Student Representative Council, or our student and parent gatherings, these meetings have fostered open and constructive discussions, nurturing a strong partnership between home and school. Through these collaborative efforts, we truly embody our motto, as we come together with compassion, understanding, and a shared vision for the well-being and educational success of our students.

Furthermore, we have witnessed remarkable leadership experiences among our senior students. Our student leaders have embraced our motto with open arms, showcasing the big hearts they possess as they serve and inspire others. Their acts of kindness, empathy, and responsibility have made a lasting impact on our school community, further exemplifying the values we hold dear.

As we approach the holiday season, let us carry the spirit of our motto with us. May we remember that it is the size of our hearts, rather than the size of our school, that truly matters. In this season of rest and reflection, let us extend our hearts to those around us, showing love and compassion to family, friends, and even strangers.

Let us celebrate the achievements of this term and the positive changes that have taken place within our school community. It is through our motto, "small school with a big heart," that we continue to thrive and provide an exceptional educational experience for our students.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our parents, guardians, students, and staff for their unwavering support throughout the term. Your dedication and commitment have made this term a resounding success, and I am immensely proud to be part of a community that exemplifies our motto.

Wishing you all a safe, joyous, and restful holiday season. May it be filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family.
