Principal's Report

with Simone Roy

Welcome to Term 3

Term 3 has hit with a cold blast, plenty of snow and the snow program getting ready to kick off next week.

School Council – Annual report special meeting

The special meeting to share the 2022 Annual Report to the School was well attended, initiating some good discussion.

We are seeking feedback from families. The link to the short survey is https://forms.office.com/r/ggKQKcfz1v or use the QR code.

The survey is open until Sunday 23rd July.

NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week, with the theme ‘For our Elders’ this year, always falls in the second week of the Victorian school holidays, meaning it is often only celebrated minimally at school. This year, we are planning to run a celebration, which will involve the whole school at the start and then the Year 7 – 10s will spend more time in activities for about half the day. These activities are being planned for Monday 17th.

Staff Goodbyes

I am sad to say goodbye to 2 of our staff members, but I know everyone will join in with me to wish them all the best for their future endeavours.

Carolyn Trott has been one of our Maths/Science teachers for many years now, starting back in 2016. Since taking on the role of classroom teacher, Carolyn has stepped in and out of many leadership roles over her time with us, most recently as the Senior School Coordinator. She has worked tirelessly over the years to support her students and the school.

While Dan Carroll has only been with us for 1 year, his passion for all things skiing and snow based was about as strong as his passion for teaching students English. Dan developed relationships with students, in his role as the Year 8 Coordinator and classroom teacher, and his use of technology to engage students was always impressive to see as you walked past his classroom.
