Do You Know?

Do you know that Compass has a new logo?

Compass is undergoing a period of transformation which includes a comprehensive rebrand. The first stage of the rebrand is the release of a new logo.

In the coming months, you will see a new Compass site and improvements to the Compass app!

Do you know that clothing is the second biggest polluting industry in the world?

Why should we reuse and recycle?

  • Divert from landfill.
  • Natural fibres like wool and cotton will decompose and create methane, a greenhouse gas which causes climate change.
  • Saves resources such as cotton and wool as well as oil which is used to make synthetic clothing such as nylon and polyester.
  • Provides global communities with affordable clothing and employment.

The 2020 Fete Committee are very happy to accept your clean, wearable and saleable clothing, shoes, hats, handbags, belts, and accessories!

Do you know that the Department of Education does not hold insurance for private property brought to school?

Personal property is often brought to school by students, staff and visitors. This can include mobile phones, iPods, cameras, electronic games, calculators, toys, musical instruments, games, sporting equipment, jewellery and cars parked on school premises.

The Department of Education and Training (DET) does not hold insurance nor does it accept responsibility for personal property brought to schools by students, staff and visitors. DET has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property – we strongly discourage members of our school community bringing valuable items to school.
