Year 4 Osaka Project

The Year 4 students have been working on a project about Osaka, the second biggest city of Japan. They made a poster of Osaka which promoted tourism to the city and did a small presentation.

Next time when you go to Osaka, ask our Year 4 students - they will give you some advice about where to go and what to eat!

Year 5/6 Kendo Incursion

To support and enhance the Japanese program, this week the Year 5 & 6 students participated in a Kendo incursion where they enjoyed the unique culture of Japanese martial arts.

Students have learned that Kendo is not just sword fighting but a modern Japanese martial art based on traditional swordsmanship. Kendo is a popular sport in Japan, and it aims to train the mind and the body.

Japanese Speech Contest

Well done to Roma N (6C) for participating in the Japanese Speech Competition at Presentation College Windsor on 25 August. Roma recited two speeches accurately and with good pronunciation and although she didn't place, we are extremely proud of her effort and commitment. See Roma in action below!
