Term 3 has started off with a bang, with students in the Visual and Performing Arts Faculty in the midst of portfolio and performance creation.

Visual Arts students have been spending every waking moment finalising their folios, with after school classes and feverish shading, colouring and designing in study hall. Media students are filming, shooting and recording around the clock. It is fantastic to see such creative work happening around the College.

The Performing Arts Students are also in the middle of preparing final assessments and exams. The Theatre Studies students have learned their lines for their Monologues and are now planning costuming, blocking and everything else. It is fantastic to see the characters come to life in their classes. The VET Dance students are also putting the finishing choreography in preparation for their two performance nights this term their exams next term. Students will also take part in an Industry Day and Dance workshop at the Ministry of Dance later this term.

The VET Music students have been busy preparing for their assessments and exams as well. We have already started the performances this term, with students putting together a program to accompany a lovely meal in Quatrefoils Restaurant. Happening on Thursday July 21st, Chelsea Garlito, Vincent Julian, Nicole Causing, Adam Buttigieg, Justin Carreon and Dylan Hotriem performed to friends, family, staff and the general public. Each group of students played a fantastic acoustic set. There were covers, pop music, punk-pop, harmonies and even a ukulele. Supported on the night by the VET Technical Production team, the night went well and showed how far every student has come this term. We would like to thank Nick, Daniella and all the students at Quatrefoils Restaurant for their help with and fantastic service on the night. Many thanks also to the staff, students, families and general public for attending.
