YEAR 10 LEADERSHIP CAMP

At the beginning of term four, we took a trip to Portsea for the Bendigo Bank Youth Leadership Camp. The camp was an opportunity for students from state schools across the peninsula to develop leadership skills and confidence. The camp was fully funded by local Bendigo Bank branches and run by the Mornington Peninsula Shire's Youth Services team.

Some of the activities included team games, a giant swing, a flying fox and a rope course as well as leadership workshops which focused on the different styles of leaders. In addition, several guest speakers shared their stories with us, such as an Indigenous AFLW player, a film producer and a member of the LGBTQI community.

Overall, the camp was a very enjoyable experience and we loved meeting new people and learning new ways to be a leader. We would like to thank the Bendigo Bank and the youth leaders for all their  work in organising the camp.
