Parents Association

We had our first Parents Association Meetup for 2020 last Friday! Thanks to all the parents that gave up their time to join us. We went through the Event Calendar in 2020 and we are very excited to have more parents putting up their hands to join the volunteer working groups. Now it is your opportunity to be part of your children's learning journey in our school. 

 

 

The Parent’s Association invites you to join in on all the fun activities that you and your children can participate in together.

 

Volunteer Working Groups throughout the Year

We are actively looking for volunteers to join throughout the year: 

  • School Banking Team (any Thursday from 9am to 10am)
  • 2nd Hand Uniform Shop (any first Thursday of each month from 9am to 10am)
  • Helping Hands Team (A special run group to support families who may be in need during challenging times.  It occurs at no particular time.  Volunteers might be asked to help a family by cooking a meal or help with ferrying children to and from school or activities for a family who needs help.)

Volunteers for Upcoming Events

We have planned out the events for the coming terms and here are some upcoming events that you are welcome to join as volunteers:

  • Sports day icypoles (March 6th) - distribute Icy Poles to students on their sports day. 
  • Grandparents/Special Person day (May 20th) - set up a morning tea to welcome students' Grandparents or their special person.
  • Spoil the staff day (July 29th) - help out to set up morning tea and lunch for teachers together with student helpers.
  • School disco night (August 21st) - help out at the school disco night at the admission desk or guard (totally fun!) 

So don't miss this wonderful opportunity to make your children proud and support our community. If you would like to join as a volunteer, please let me know by emailing me (Deane pa@syndalsp.vic.edu.au). We will also send out "Call for Volunteers" via email or Compass if we need more volunteers.
