Parents Association
A message from the STJPA
Our school (much like many others), has had an extremely difficult time in recent weeks navigating through and responding to the global crisis we are all faced with today. On behalf of the STJPA Team and all our parent community, Kate and I would like to thank Brendan and the St James teaching staff for their calmness and continued communication and support during this unprecedented time in the history of the world.
It has been an extremely testing and anxious time for our school (particularly our children), and it’s wonderful to see our school parent and teaching community working so well together to look after and nurture our children through what must seem like such a crazy time for them. Thank you to all parents for supporting the school here with their efforts to educate our children in safe and healthy practices, and the importance of understanding this scenario and the roles we all play in it as a society, in keeping ourselves and our most vulnerable people safe.
EASTER RAFFLE & HOT CROSS BUN DRIVE
Thank you for your donations to date regarding our Easter Raffle. While the school remains open, children are still encouraged to bring and leave donations in your child's classroom tub by this Friday 20th. Purchase tickets to be in the draw to win some EGGcelent prizes!
A BIG thank you to Michelle Thomas and Tanya Schiffter for their efforts this week in coordinating the delivery and pick-up of our Bakers Delight Hot Cross Buns from Denise at Elwood Bakers Delight. Head to https://stjamesbrighton.cdfpay.org.au to purchase raffle tickets!
NB: See the school email this week for further advice on what steps will be taken if we need to reschedule the raffle to Term 2.
MAIN EVENT 2020
We will pick this up again in Term 2 with further advice on next steps here as we learn more on the roll-out of the situation with COVID-19.
PA Meetings
We did not run our scheduled PA meeting this month due to the current situation. We will reassess this for our next meeting closer to the date in mid-April.
As a final note from us, please take care of yourselves, your families and those who are closest to you. Continue to support and educate our children on the situation. Support the school efforts here to ease the fear and confusion for our kids. Be safe during the holidays and remember we have an amazing array of technology to connect us - so stay connected!
Please always feel free to contact us if you have any questions or require support from the St James parent community.
Thank You.
