Student Leadership Team 2017

Our student leaders have been straight into work taking part in a series of workshops to learn more about being a leader and effective leadership skills. They have a big year ahead of them with workshops, a full day leaders forum with student leaders from other schools and many opportunities to use their developing skills, to input into our school community.

Our first 2 workshops distinguished the difference between role models, elected leaders and appointed leaders, whilst we also identified our Top 10 leadership muscles which are key characteristics of effective leaders.

This years leaders chose:

* Co-operative                            * Resilient

*Committed                                * Humble

* Respectful                                 * Organised

*Confident                                   * Encouraging

*Honest                                        * Responsible

Whilst this is clearly not an exhaustive list and there are many other important characteristics, this year's student leaders (and Grade 6 students in general) will focus on growing these particular leadership muscles.
