Wiltshire Lane and Glenelg Highway Upgrade – Update
From Monday 19 September crews will temporarily close the southern section of Wiltshire Lane between Greenhalghs Road and Smythes Road (Glenelg Highway) for up to 10 weeks. General traffic will be detoured via Whitelaw Avenue, Sutton Street and Smythes Road (Glenelg Highway). Local access for residents and businesses will be provided between Greenhalghs Road and Meadow Court. Edgewood Court residents will be able to use the service road to connect to the detour route. Businesses on the corner of Glenelg Highway and Wiltshire Lane will be accessible via the Glenelg Highway. Buses will use alternate routes during the closure, which will be confirmed on the RRV website soon. This closure is necessary for crews to complete significant works including earthworks, pavement construction, signal installation, electrical works, cabling installation and asphalting. If travelling through this area plan ahead to avoid delays.
