A Message from Parents & Friends

Hi everyone,

Term 4’s almost done! Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts during this term. We’re still finalising our fundraising total for Father’s Day, but whilst we do, a big big thank you to Fiona Holmesby and crew for organising and running a really great event for all the special people who attended.

Our fundraising total for this year now stands at around the $40,000 mark. This is an absolutely fantastic effort from our school community and we’re now well on our way to having some new sporting facilities. Once we have finalised the totals for Term 3, we will confirm the fundraising total.

Here’s what to look forward to for Term 4!

Friday treats

Term 4 sees the return of the icy poles as our Friday treats all the way through summer.

Social events

Last Friday saw our inaugural social event and what a hit it was! There was a mix of parents from different year groups. If you were sitting on the fence, we highly recommend you come along and meet fellow community members. The next events are:

  • Wednesday 12th October - Hopheads, Pier Street, Altona
  • Wednesday 23rd November – Pier 71, Pier Street, Altona

Please see flyers below for full details.

We have organised for Vision Portraits to come to school and take photos for you of your family. Spaces are limited, but to book a session, please click on the link:

All proceeds from these bookings go to our school!

Grandparents/ Special Person’s Day – Friday 28th October

For Grandparents Day, we’re going to be having an activity session before lunch where all Grandparents/ special people are welcome to come into school. This will be followed by a Bakers Delight lunch (we are sourcing a GF and VE option). We’re hoping to bring along a coffee cart too!

We will also be hosting a bake sale. From the beginning of Term 4, you will be able to collect a plate in a bag to bake (or not bake) and bring to school the morning of Grandparents/ Special Persons Day. We will be selling the treats over the lunchtime period that day. And before you all start running to grab a plate, you’re more than welcome to take more than one :)!

End of Year Celebrations

How is it even possible that we’re planning this already - the year has gone by so fast! Please save the date of Wednesday 14th December (evening) for our end of year celebrations. Whilst school are organising this event, Parents & Friends will be selling a selection of food and drinks on the night. We will also be holding a raffle - further details to come.

Have a wonderful school holiday - we shall see you in Term 4!
