Principal's News

Where every child is known, challenged and supported to be lifelong learners.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Sorry the newsletter is a day late - coming back from camp we were a little tired!

5/6 "COONAWARRA" CAMP

What a wonderful experience we all had. It was such a privilege to spend three days at camp with our 5/6 students and the teachers. Our students faced and overcame many challenges completing the various activities whilst sleeping away from home.  What a great achievement after our  2 years of lockdowns.  I am sure the Public Relations newsletter next week will have lots more information.

I want to thank the staff who attended - Arch, Annemarie, Hannah, Heather, Yasmin, Moira, Jules and Tracey. The support they gave each other and the students was amazing.

Thank you to the parents who entrusted us with your children.

MACSISS Survey

It is that time of the year again - where we ask staff, parents and our Year 4-6 students to complete a survey regarding our school. Please see the information below from MACS regarding the survey.

In 2022, our school is participating in Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools listen to the thoughts and feelings students, families and staff have about how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.

The survey is available online and can be accessed from Monday 29 August – Friday 16 September 2022This survey may only be completed once. This survey link and login is being sent out via email to all families next week.

Thank you in advance for your support in completing this survey.

BOOK WEEK

We have been participating in activities from the 2022 shortlisted Book of the Year Awards. We have had our Annual Book Fair running this week and the children have been very excited to go and spend their money. Today we held our Book Week Parade and we loved seeing the children and staff in all their wonderful outfits. There was a great variety of costumes from both from the students and staff. It was great to see so many of our Parents, Grandparents and friend join in the fun and watch our parade.

A big thank you to Glenn Stewart for organising and running our Annual Book Fair.

NEW BIKE SHED AND SPORT SHED

We are on our way…….

We are so looking forward to having our new bike shed and PE shed being completed in the near future. We have a slight delay as the installer’s trailer caught fire, so we have to wait until it can be repaired. We have a temporary bike shed behind the soon to be removed shipping container!
