Victorian School Netball Championships

On Friday 19th of August, 3 senior school netball teams and a junior school netball team competed at the Victorian School Netball Championship, at the State Netball Centre. All teams had a strong start to the day, and big improvements were made by all players as the day progressed.

The grade 5/6 team coached by Ms Holmberg, had many convincing wins throughout the day, remaining under defeated and progressing through to the primary division final on the 31st of August. All of the girls are to be proud of their efforts throughout the day.

The junior team won 2 out of their 4 games, which is an amazing effort as their competition was very tough (competitive) although they were pushed to their limits, the girls had an amazing day, Finishing 3rd overall. A big thank you to Miss Eenjes who coached these girls all day

The intermediate team coached by Mrs Fisher, won all 4 of their games on the day, finishing first and progressing through to the final day on to the 30th of August. The girls fought hard throughout each game and are commended on their achievements.

Mrs Hamilton’s senior netball team won 3 out of 5 of their games, with 7 players due to injury and illness making it a tough day with no bench. The senior team fought hard trying their best in every game and came home with a deserved 3rd place.

We would like to thank Mrs Speed and Miss Eenjes for organising and facilitating the day. Thank you to Mrs Hamilton, Mrs Fisher and Miss Holmberg for coaching and encouraging the teams. Congratulations to all students for their participation and good luck to the Grade 5/6 and intermediate teams at their final days.
