Australian History Competition

On Thursday the 2nd of June, three Year 9s and twelve Year 10s completed the Australian History Competition. These fifteen students were required to answer 50 multiple choice questions in a 45-minute time period. The questions asked of the students were of an advanced nature, reflecting the calibre of students selected to partake in the annual competition. The questions were not necessarily on people or events studied in the curriculum at school, so the students needed a well-rounded general knowledge in order to answer the questions. Of these fifteen students, five achieved Distinctions, and one achieved a High Distinction.

This Monday the 22nd of August, ten students were awarded their certificates at the Head’s Assembly. Every student who completed this competition should be proud of their efforts, and we look forward to hosting the competition again in 2023.
