In our writing sessions, it was really fun doing the writer’s notebook because we got to choose what we wrote about. We could do types of fiction and non-fiction. We could even do lists, books, poems and plays. We had time to work on our writing over lots of sessions. Right now I am working on a comic which is about Super Teddy and a dangerous vacuum cleaner! It tries to vacuum up the Lego and all the toys. I’m feeling pretty confident about my writing and I really like making up all my characters.

Maths

In our Maths sessions, we have been learning about Fractions. We found out about improper fractions and mixed numbers. We also did fractions on number lines and tried to mark halves, thirds and fifths. I have learnt that fractions can be equal to other fractions and we call this equivalent fractions. I really like Maths because I like working with numbers and now I can break numbers down into smaller parts.

Inquiry

In Inquiry, I am making a two-storey house for my personal inquiry. I wanted to learn about interior design. At the moment I have built the skeleton of the house and made the walls and the floor. Right now I am designing the inside of the house with furniture and decorations. I have really enjoyed doing this project because I think its good and I really like designing.
