Principal's News

Dear Parents and Caregivers of St Joseph’s Primary School,

This term seems to be flying by. We are already in Week 6 and have four weeks to go until the school holidays.

Please note that next week we have two school closure days and a public holiday. The school will reopen on Thursday 16th June.

Over the past few weeks, we have had a number of our students competing outside the school in Gala Days and the Netball NSW Schools Cup. They all competed well and represented our school with pride and enthusiasm.

Next week our staff will be attending the Diocese of Armidale System Conference. During this time we will be focusing on wellbeing and mental health. This focus is on student, staff and community wellbeing. It should be a fantastic time for all of our diocese to come together and learn with vigour.

We also had our Parent Information Night last week. it was fantastic to see so many new families and gave us the opportunity to truly reflect on the learning processes we have in our school, as well as the extra opportunities students have in sport and leadership. Also, please stop and have a look at our new display in the foyer. It is still a work in progress, but it provides a great overview of what happens in the classroom.

Finally, I would like to thank our school’s Parents & Friends Association. At our recent meeting, the P&F have decided to commit in excess of $40,000 to our school’s airconditioning project. This will be going ahead in the July school holidays.

If you have any questions regarding this, please see one of our P & F executive members Stacey Vogel, Amelia Carolan, or Gail Knight.

Have a fantastic long weekend.

God Bless,

Alistair Stewart
