DISA Update

DISA Update (Primary School Students Only)

In 2016 newsletters, we wrote about the changes to DISA and sports for Primary School students. Over that time the schools in our association have changed. Mukinbudin DHS has grown (especially in secondary, that has more than 40 students) and sadly the other schools have decreased. So everyone is on the same page, the following is an outline of our transition to interschool sports. However, the key change is that all students go to DISA events as they will in effect replace faction carnivals;

2019

SwimmingSchools ran their own carnival before. Mukinbudin competes as Muka Green and Muka Gold at DISA. In the transition to developing an Eastern Wheatbelt team, championship events were the fastest swimmers regardless of school. Last of the events similar to the old format.
Cross CountryMukinbudin competes as Muka Green and Muka Gold. The event is participation based and all students attend from every school.
AthleticsMukinbudin competes as Muka Green and Muka Gold. The first time we all participate at DISA and it replaces Faction carnivals. We adopted the rules of Merredin Carnival Events and rules. Our first go at the new format.
