The Great Scone Bake-Off 2018

Food Technology : Year Ten
The Year 10 Food Technology class competed in the annual "Scone Bake Off ". Students were given a lesson to investigate the techniques of scone making, then using the basic scone recipe they designed their own. During our practical lesson the students produced the scones which were then presented to the judging panel for them to assess. Scones were judged on taste, colour and uniformity in appearance.
The winners included ;
1st Georgia Tsafoulis - Mediterranean Scones
2nd Renee O'Meara- Fruit Scones
3rd Ty Scholes- Cheese Scones.
Many students received praise from the judges for their flavour combinations and final presentation. Well done to the whole class for their efforts and to the judges for giving up their time.
