Secondary News

Curriculum

Students in the past week have begun to receive Assessment tasks for Term 1. Please have a conversation with your child so that you are aware of what each assessment is about. To assist your child to be prepared and organised, have them print off their Assessment Schedule (this can be done from the calendar) so that they can create a plan / timetable of when tasks are due. Some assessments will be completed in class, at home or a combination of both. If your child is experiencing difficulty, it is important that they have a discussion with their Subject Teacher(s) straight away either in person or by email.

Just a reminder that calendars are updated all the time, especially with details about assessment tasks, so students need to continue referring to them throughout the term.

Student Diary

All Secondary students have been given a diary to help develop their organisational skills. All teachers will expect students to bring their diaries to all classes to write down their homework, assessment tasks and study requirements. Please discuss with your child. The diary will be used as a communication tool between parents, students and teachers.

Stage 5 Agriculture

2020 has started with a blast, with plenty of rainfall and life running around the Ag Plot! With this rain, we have had an astronomical amount of weeds sprouting. Stage 5 Agriculture is working around the clock to get our plot looking mighty fine once again.

Stay tuned to see our final product, and hopefully in our next edition, we may have some seedling images to share!
