Project Compassion 2020 Go Further Together

CLICK HERE for St Philomena's Moree Fundraising Page:

Our Mini Vinnies crew kicked off St Philomena's Project Compassion Lenten Appeal by selling pancakes. We are reaching out to our community to support the work of Caritas Australia by giving generously to our fundraising appeals.

Students from K-10 have been given a donation box. We are asking for students and families to give generously by placing small spare change in the boxes and returning them to school at the end of Term 1.

On Friday the 20th of March students K-10 will walk together in solidarity with those who do not have access to clean water by participating in our Caritas K's Water Walk. With water being a precious resource, we are using an alternative to water this year, but will still be walking in solidarity with those who travel long distances to access clean water.

Coinciding with Harmony Day (Saturday the 21st) students will wear orange to school and bring a gold coin donation. Leading up to the 'Water Walk', raffle tickets will be available to purchase 1 ticket for $1 or 10 for $5, the lucky winners will be called onto the stage to cut a section of Mrs Davison's hair (which will be donated to make a wig).

Free Hat Fridays during Lent

Free Hat Fridays is an initiative from our Mini Vinnies chapter to boost our Lenten fundraising in support of Project Compassion.

We are inviting students from K-10 to wear their own hat in exchange for a gold coin donation on Fridays during Lent. Students who are wishing to wear their own hat will make their donation at the beginning of the day and receive a stamp on their hand as receipt of their donation.

Lets Go Further Together !
