Thank you to A'capella Choir for Information Night.
A huge thank you to the following members of our A'capella choir who performed "Some Fun" medley so beautifully at our Information Evening:
Georgia Clarke, Felicity Edmondson, Sandu Matapatuna, Ophelia Murray, Meredith Ross- James, Evie Scott, Lucy Skelton, Christina Soupionas, Violette Spataro, Darby Stoffell, Riley Stoffell and Tyana Tsai.
We wish them all the best in their upcoming audition for Australian A'Capella Championships. (AUS ACA)

Snarky Puppy Masterclass
On Thursday, 25th April, our Jazz Orchestra was lucky enough to rehearse with members of Snarky Puppy, who are currently on tour from America. Snarky Puppy. Snarky Puppy is a Brooklyn-based "fusion-influenced jam band" led by bassist Michael League. Snarky Puppy combines jazz, rock, and funk and has won three Grammy Awards.
The MGC band have been rehearsing two Snarky Puppy songs in preparation for Generations in Jazz this Saturday. Composer Michael League jammed on the bass with the girls, who were joined by Justin Stanton on piano and Maz Maher on Trumpet. Michael was so impressed by our band that he invited them to attend their sound check before their show at the Forum on Friday night.
Many thanks to MGC alumni, jazz trumpeter, singer and composer Audrey Powell, who also attended the rehearsal and worked our musicians.
Generations in Jazz
We are very excited to be travelling to Mount Gambier tomorrow to attend Generations in Jazz on Saturday, 4th May. Our Jazz orchestra will be competing in Division 4+ and members of our a’capella choir will be competing in Vocal Ensemble Division 4.
A huge thank you to Tony Hicks, Andy Clarke and Susan de Jong for preparing our band and vocal ensemble respectively.
Our 33 students attending will be looked after by Ellyce Calder, Tony Hicks and Anne Corry.
Thank you to all parents for their support of their daughter’s musical journey.
