Traffic disruption in Emu Parade & Landy Road.

The cement slab for the new Yaluk Building will be poured by trucks parked in Emu parade (Thursday15th  or Friday 16th December) and Landy Road (Monday 19th or Tuesday 20th December). There will be traffic wardens on duty  however it will become congested. Avoid the area, particularly if you are in a hurry.

Sensory Room:

Bloomfield Hall  - which was a modified shelter shed that had served its purpose over years  - was demolished during the last fortnight.  The students were enthralled by the excavator biting away at the building until it was demolished.

The sensory room will abut the climbing gym and be approximately the same size. The rest of the space will have a softer play surface.  Contractors next step is excavation of the area, followed by inserting screw piles and pouring the concrete. There will a lot more work completed by the time we get back from the holidays.

The framing has gone in for the first concrete pour which should be on Thursday or Friday 15/16th December followed the second on Monday or Tuesday 19th/20 December and the third on Wednesday/Thursday 21/22nd December.  This means that the concrete will be curing during the December January Builders shut down period.
