Festive Teachings and Celebrations

CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a Christian holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, said to be the living son of God. It is observed on the 25th of December as a cultural and religious celebration among a lot of people all over the world.

Christians celebrate by attending church services, singing carols, spending time sharing a meal with friends and family, exchanging gifts, baking cookies, and decorating trees.

HANUKKAH

Hanukkah is an eight-day winter festival of lights, observed through nightly menorah candle lighting, special blessings, songs, and prayer. The holiday celebrates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem’s revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century BCE.

This year Hanukkah is celebrated from Sunday, 18th of December till Monday 26th of December.

Santa Visit

This year the students had the opportunity to visit Santa in the CLH on Thursday 8th of December.

Classes got together and took photos with Santa.

Below are some pictures of the day.

We wish all a happy and safe holiday season and we will see you in the new year!
