Advent

The season of Advent began on Sunday 27 November. The word Advent comes from the Latin word which means ‘coming.’ The Lord is coming.

We have been continuing our preparations this season with weekly prayer services, as well as lessons within our Religious Education curriculum.

Week 4 of Advent has a focus on love. Our final days of Advent are a time when we can reflect on our Advent journey. Each week during Advent we will be reminded of the importance of preparing our hearts for Christmas. It is time to think of what gift to give others this Christmas.

Advent Giving Tree

Thank you to the families who donated vouchers for our St Vincent De Paul ‘Mini Vinnies’ Advent Giving Tree this year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the lives of a local family this Christmas.

The following was sent from our local St Vincent De Paul group:

I want to thank you and all the staff as well as the students for their generous contribution to our Christmas giving Tree. We distributed the hampers today to those families we have helped during the year.  This year we distributed 69 hampers in total plus.
