Jazz Cabaret Evening - only one week to go!

Next Friday 31 March, we will hold a Jazz Cabaret for all Years 7 to 12 students and parents. Students in Choirs, Concert Band, Chamber Strings, Celtic Band, Stage Band, Flute Trio, Kilvington Dancers and Orchestra will also be performing as part of these ensemble groups.

Senior School music students will have the opportunity to showcase their talent through performances which will include an array of music, jazz and blues items. This is a unique opportunity for students to perform in a relaxed and supportive environment.

The Jazz Cabaret will be held from 6.00pm to 8.30pm at the Glen Eira Town Hall in the Auditorium Banquet room. The Cabaret will be transformed into an intimate jazz performance environment with table settings and chairs so you can sit back and enjoy the experience.

If you would like a treat or if you are a fan of jazz and blues, organise a table with your family and friends and enjoy our lovely performances. You are also welcome to bring your own plate of food and drink.

To book your seat/s at a table, please click here. This year there will be a minimal fee of $15 per adult. Students are complimentary.

Please note: All students performing will be seated backstage and do not need to book a ticket.

JAZZ CABARET - PARENT HELPERS AND SMALL PRIZE DONATIONS FOR RAFFLES

If parents are available to help on the night, and/or can donate prizes/vouchers for the raffles, please contact Music Reception at music.admin@kilvington.vic.edu.au.

Your assistance will be most appreciated.

Congratulations to Stella Zhang from Prep C

Stella Zhang from Prep C started learning Suzuki violin last year at the age of four. She has progressed a lot since then. She recently performed Twinkle’s Busy-Busy Stop to her class with all fingers and by memory. Well done Stella!

Centenary Concert – Attention all Kilvonians

I am thrilled to announce that Kilvington Grammar School will be celebrating 100 Years this year!

To mark this momentous milestone, we will be holding the Kilvington Centenary Concert at the prestigious Hamer Hall, Southbank on August 10 at 7.30pm.

We would love for you to celebrate with us as either an audience member or as a participant! Please click here to register your involvement in the concert.

Once we gain an understanding of the interest levels, we will communicate rehearsal dates for each of the different components. Kilvonians are also welcome to participate in the present Kilvonian performance groups.

I am so looking forward to sharing this evening with the Kilvington community. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us.
