Year 6 Reflection - Messages from Our School Captains

Hello parents and guardians,

As you may know I am Daisy, one of your four school captains,  here at St.Agathas Primary school for 2022. I would like to start of with what a great year we have had despite each other’s ups and downs. I am one hundred percent truly grateful for every chance I have received as a school captain. When I started in foundation  here at St.Agathas, I was overloaded with excitement for whats to come.

My first ever principal was Mrs Hassel. For some of you foundations to come , my advice would be to be yourself and enjoy foundation while your in it. Year one was a thrilling year as I got to do many weekend recount writes as well as understanding harder vocabulary. Over time I have made many beautiful friendships here, that I won’t ever forget. In year two I very much remember dressing up as Belle from beauty and the beast for our school book week.

We had our lovely second principal Mr Cahill who made everyone laugh and smile. In St.Agathas there is no doubt all the teachers here are caring and willing to help no matter what. I will also always remember Mr sharp who was our friendly, uplifting vice principal. Now, year three was a wonderful year as I made more friendships and I grew in my learning skills. I thought it was the end of the world when they introduced NAPLAN , but just like everything else you get used to it and it improves your learning skills.Every smile, teacher, parent, friends, sad times, happy times, hugs, wishes, being hurt, being kind and respectful to others has made me who I am today.

Year four I deeply enjoyed, I enjoyed my friends, class mates, teachers and memories, but the one I did not  like was lockdown. Year five I was starting to feel more responsible and leader like. As many teachers may (or may not) remember my leadership speech I wrote for school captain. We didn’t let covid-nineteen stop our learning. We eventually got back to school and reunited with each other. Mr Cahll sadly retired from the principal role at St.Agathas.I’m sure we will always remember his moments of fame on top of the spider web. Mr Doherty is a fantastic new vice principal as many love his wonderful nature.

Where do I even start with year six, well as my last year we started with a memorial camp to Rumbug and had an awesome time none of us will forget. We had an assembly in which I was astonished, I had received the role as a SCHOOL CAPTAIN! We also announced our new principal Mrs Bruitzman! I was fully grateful for every moment of that day. I was so happy for all of my friends too whom had also received roles. I couldn’t be happier with the other three school captains as they are kind hearted people who will never let you down on a rainy day.I am looking forward  to graduating  from primary school and heading towards my next journey following the road to high school. I will fully miss St. Agathas primary school and all my fun memories with it. I hope all leaders next year enjoy every second of primary school. I very hope you all may have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year to come.

It is my pleasure to say a big thank you to St.Agatha’s for every key milestone in my primary school life!

Kind regards,Daisy 6S
