Class News -RE: 5/6BOC

This week 5/6 BOC have been building connections and setting up positive routines to help us shine throughout the year. We spent time focusing on what safety looks like, sounds like, and feels like and we had an open and honest discussion about what conditions we need to be successful learners in our space.  It was fantastic to see our 5/6 students taking on ideas and developing strategies that will support and enable their peers to be the best learners they can be.

Our Year 6 students were introduced to their Prep buddies on Monday and there was so much joy and excitement from our leaders. They have been waiting years to be the ‘big buddies’ and our students showed so much kindness, warmth and generosity when interacting and helping their buddies complete a craft activity. After the craft activity our focus was on fostering connections and the students were thrilled to play lego and read books to their buddies. We are so excited for the year ahead and we can’t wait to see what is ahead.
