Chaplains Corner

I’ve been part of Somerville primary school for about four months now. I’m very grateful to be part of this community, grateful for the welcome I’ve received, and grateful for all of the staff students and family that I have met.

The Christmas period  can be a difficult season. It can be busy, challenging financially, relationally and especially if we have experienced grief and loss.

The attached graphic is the mural on the wall near the student toilets. The first value mentioned is “Gratitude”. Obviously being grateful doesn’t change our circumstances but it can change our perception. Slowing down(where possible!!) and taking joy in small things has helped me in challenging seasons.

Wishing you all the best in the coming holiday period and looking forward to reconnecting in 2023.

Kind regards
