Weeks 4-6

It has been an exciting start to Term 4 with students engaging in meaningful learning experiences. 

Making learning meaningful and linking to the real-world

Educational experiences that link to the real-world are always on display at Killara High School. During a Year 9 Science lesson on the topic of Chemical Reactions, Mr Manley showcased to his students the real-world applications of the theoretical knowledge about combustion engines. The students enjoyed this experience. 

HSIE Blue

By visiting the classrooms in K Block, you are taken on a journey across historical time periods and deep into the study events that have shaped our world. Our HSIE Blue teachers work diligently to provide the best learning experiences possible within highly engaging learning spaces. HSIE Blue teachers deliver courses in Ancient History, Modern History, History Extension, Legal Studies, History Years 7-10 and Events That changed The World. Our Head Teacher Mrs Schofield leads a team of highly dedicated professionals who make learning engaging, meaningful and exciting. Science Extension

Dr Tran and her Science Extension students engaged in a virtual educational experience with experts from Sydney University to explore Science Extension modules. Students found this experience useful and rewarding, and I thank Dr Tran for organising this event.
