October - Month of the Rosary

All Saints Day

All Saints' Day is a holy day which the Catholic Church celebrates annually on November 1st. All Saints’ Day is also called Feast of All Saints. Within the Catholic Church, we commemorate the saints of the church, both known and unknown.

All Souls' Day

All Souls' Day, is a day of prayer and remembrance for the souls of those who have passed away. All Souls' Day traditions remember deceased loved ones through prayer, devotion and liturgical services on this day. Within the Catholic Church the annual celebration is held on 2nd November.

Sunday Masses

While we are still unable to attend mass in large numbers, there are some options available. St. Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne have announced that the 11am Sunday Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral will continue to be televised free to air on C31 as well as live streamed on their website and YouTube channel

The Oblate of Mary Immaculate are also continuing to serve their community during this time. Masses and Prayer Services are live-streamed from many of their churches/seminaries to cater for their communities.

Sacrament Celebrations

Although restrictions are beginning to ease around Melbourne's lock down, at this point in time the information from the Archdiocese of Melbourne is that Sacramental celebrations are still postponed. We will of course keep you updated regarding any information pertaining to the celebration of Sacraments for the students.

Have a great week.
