Principal's Message

Greetings Friends!

It’s been a really difficult year for many of us in so many ways.

Words can’t express how I feel – except my outpouring of grief for our beautiful school.

Personally, I am also having a difficult time with sick family members. My grandchild (born 10 weeks ago in NSW) is currently in ICU in hospital in Newcastle and all I want to do is go up and help my family, and I can’t because of COVID restrictions.

But – I can pray and God IS the head of my family and our school and He does have everything in control, even when it seems He doesn’t.

Please keep the College community, and those who are suffering in prayer.

Darkness may seem overwhelming at the moment – but where there is darkness, there is a stronger force in play – Jesus.

For those who know Jesus, His light is also in us.

Jesus, when speaking to the people, proclaimed,

“I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12 (NLT)

May we all band together to make this light so much brighter in the darkness. It is His light we shine and it is His light that overcomes.

Keep trusting God St Andrews! This is His school and His arms are around us.

In Him,

Catriona Wansbrough
