Welcome Archie Roach

On 26 April we were honoured to welcome Archie Roach into our Aboriginal Community room. Archie Roach, AM is an Australian musician. He is a singer, songwriter and guitarist, as well as a campaigner for the rights of Indigenous Australians.

It was a small gathering where Archie spoke about inspiration and the importance of rooms like ours as places where community and culture come together. He placed his hand print on our wall and wrote 'Today I am in spirit to be here. Inspired and blessed 26/4/19'.

We would like to thank all who attended and to Archie especially for taking the time out of his Australian tour to share some stories with us.'

Oliver Bebus - Masterclass at the Sydney Opera House

Oliver Debus of Year 9 music class attended a masterclass at the Sydney Opera House in the school holidays.  The masterclass was with jazz legends Herbie Hancock and James Morrison.

It was a great honour to be invited and Oliver enjoyed the experience immensely.
