Congratulations Caylyn Dumpert

Congratulations to Year 12, 2018 Caylyn Dumpert who was awarded with the highly esteemed prestigious ICMS Professional Scholarship. A letter of congratulations was forwarded to Henry Kendall High School outlining the scholarship process. 'These young aspirants really are outstanding. To invest the effort in submitting the application, then manage the experience of two panel interviews in a new and possibly awe-inspiring context is impressive. They have ventured out of their comfort zones and grown in themselves as a result.'

Kokoda Scholarship

Max Potential

Congratulations to both Holly Miller and Sarah Wade of Year 11 who today completed Connect Group 1 of Max Potential at Gosford RSL.

The students were reintroduced to the core Max Potential concepts regarding personal development and leadership.  They were also informed about their Community Service Projects and we look forward to seeing how Holly and Sarah will engage with our local community. Today was also an opportunity to listen and talk to Deputy Mayor Councillor Chris Holstein who spoke about the importance of leadership and contributing to the community.

Thanks again to Gosford RSL for their support of the Max Potential program. A scholarship opportunity that our school has been involved with for the last 7 years.

Mock Trial

On Thursday 2 May the Mock Trial team competed against Gosford High School at Central Coast Leagues Club. The case was a criminal common assault charge and we were the Prosecution. The plaintiff had been a part of a protest rally and was thumped in the chest and yelled at by the parent of a fellow protester. It was a very close competition, with both sides arguing well. Unfortunately Gosford won by only 8 points. Oliver Worrad and Tom Whelan were our barristers and Shireen Khoshnoud-Rad was the Solicitor. Adrian Crnalic again did an excellent job as a witness along with Ainslee Fernandes. Our thanks goes to Isabella Dowe for being the Magistrates Clerk. The team are busy preparing for the next trial against St Edwards and are keen to win the next round.
